On October third I was fortunate enough to be invited to an exclusive screening of the gremlins 2 at Warner Bros head quarters in London. This was to celebrate the launch of the new gremlins Lego dimensions characters, on sale November 11th, on the new HMV premium blue ray range, where you could catch the Gremlins 2 on the blu-ray for the very first time! Now on sale here for £14.99 for one or you can get two for £25, bargain! And perfect for Christmas.
Unfortunately I don't know much about Lego dimensions except it's a multi-platform adventure game where you can chose your character by placing a Lego figure on a light up platform connected to the console, looks very Star Trek to me! As an Auntie to two nephews and two nieces I should know more about the current games! But I had to call my brother to find out what Lego dimensions is and if the kids have it or not, unfortunately they didn't but trying to be super cool auntie I had a play of the game, well my colleague Ellie did (video above) and it gave my ideas of Christmas presents! Below you can see all the new characters including Harry Potter, ghostbusters and the gremlins!
As I was allowed to take a plus one I posted a snap up asking "who likes gremlins" my colleague Ellie was the first to say ME! So I invited her along and she was in her element! When entering the event room the first thing we saw was two lifestyle models of superman and Batman, we spent a good portion of the evening taking selfies with these! She is a gamer girl so she was the first to jump onto Lego dimensions and have a play, she fell in love and is now attempting to persuade her boyfriend to make the investment!
After we had our feel of Lego dimensions we head to a bar where food and drink was being served, we had a nibble of the scrumptious food from Pret A Manger and then we checked out the collection of premium blu-rays from HMV.
Bellies full of food and after a slow wander around the room it was time to head into the screening room to watch Gremlins 2 in the new Blu-Ray format, we were all lucky enough to find goody bags on our seats that contained the new premium edition of the Gremlins 2 as well as a DVD of the first film and a poster. As always it was an enjoyable film that had us laughing our heads of at the Gremlins mischievous ways, but also had me cringing as the Gremlins are hideous things! Very gross.
Thank you to Fetch publicity for inviting us, and to Warner bros for being lovely hosts and for the fantastic goody bag.
