A few weeks ago Generation skincare reached out to me and asked me to try their Generation A Serum in exchange for an honest review, I received the Serum within a day and I have used it daily for the past three weeks. The thing I love about serums is that they are so versatile, you can use them before moisturising, as a primer or you could add a couple drops to your foundation!
3 key ingredients in Generation A Serum:
- Hyaluronic Acid - a key ingredient in younger looking skin, keeping skin hydrated.
- Aloe Vera - who doesn't know about the benefits of aloe vera! The soothing properties are beneficial for skin hydration and for inflamed acne.
- Green Tea Extract - An antioxidant that can protect your skin from every day pollution.
The main thing to remember with skincare is that is it unique to you! What may work for me may not work for you and vice versa! I have suffered acne for 13 years, I am currently on a course of Ruaccutane and it is working! My blemishes are clearing up but my skin is as dry as the desert! After 13 years of avoiding serums and oils I now find myself cautiously experimenting with them as my skin is needing the oils for hydration.
Packaged in a little bottle with a dropper, I experimented with the Serum in different ways and the best method for me was to use the Serum before moisturising, I found it gave my skin a protective layer that soaked up the moisturiser providing a very good base for my foundation. After 3 weeks I have found the Serum has become a staple in my morning routine, my skin is looking healthier than my usually grey look, it feels firmer and it actually does keep the redness of my acne at bay! I'm finding I've stopped wearing foundation daily as i'm really happy with my complexion. Depending on your chosen method of use all you need is just 3 - 5 drops, I found the Serum a little sticky a first but that disappears once it has absorbed.
